

Special Interest Lecturer
I was delighted to be assigned on the Crystal Cruise Symphony to be the Special Interest Lecturer on a voyage from Costa Rica to San Diego. My four talks were Adventures in Birding, The Jaguar - the True King of the Jungle, Monkey Business and The Good, the Bad and the Downright Nasty (reptiles). Nicaragua and El Salvador
Two new countries for me and now have been to all seven ccountries in Centeral America. Sarah had three new counties as she had never been to Mexico. In San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua we hike up the hill to get this view and visit a beautiful small chapel with a thirty foot statue of Jesus on the roof. Fun little small town with great seafood. Costa Rica with G. Lee
We finally got to visit our friend Gary Lee in Costa Rica and stay at his beaurtiful "second home." It is fill with his amazing artwork. His friends, Ernest and Margie, were kind enough to show us San Jose. We also visited the La Paz Waterfall Garden and Wildlife Refuge. They had a wonderful walk-through toucan exhibit with three species from Costa Rica, including this friendly Chestnut-mandibled Toucan.
