Sarah's 50th State
In April 2022, we flew to Little Rock, Arkansas and spent a couple of days at the unique Hot Springs National Park. For many years the bathhouses in Hot Springs were thought to cure people of many ailments. There are stll eleven bathhouse buildings, but only one is still a bathhouse. There was a wonderful museum demonstrating how the bathhouses operated. There were also great hikes in the National Park. From there we spent a night in Little Rock so we could visit the Clin

Sarah & Wake Forest University
In March, 2022 Sarah felt very honored to represent the class of 1979 at the all the activities during the inauguration of Dr. Susan R. Wente as the new President of Wake Forest University. Obviously, I was very proud of her.

Arizona Again.
Arizona is a perfect vacation from Cleveland in January. We hiked South Mountain (pjhoto) and North Mountain. Had dinner at the fantastic Quessence. This time (January 2022) we were there to also attend the AZA's Director's Policy Conference. Of course, we also played some wonderful desert golf. Great to see friends and meet some of the new folks.

Cali Zoo
In November, 2021 I traveled internationally for the first time in almost two years to Cali, Colombia and the Cali Zoo. This was my second visit and this Zoo if one on the best in South America and one of my favorite zoos in the world. I truly enjoyed my visit and the hospitality of Maria Clara and her staff.

Originally it was just something to give the my grandchildren, but I decided to self-publish with Outskirts Press.

Smith Rocks near Bend, OR
In July, 2021 Sarah and I flew to Oregon (Sarah's 49th state) and rented a car for a driving vacation. Drove to the Coast and then south to the wine country. Stopped at Brigadoon Winery and Woolridge Winery, between going to Peace Memorial with a kidney stone! Spent a couple of nights at the Prospect Historic Hotel near Crater Lakes. Hiked down to the Lake on the Cleetwood Cove Trail. Headed to Bend and met up with John Lewis. He showed us the sites, including beautiful

Vermont and Maine 8/2021
Great driving vacation to visit Sarah's sister in Morgan, VT and then on to Maine and Acadia Nationial Park. The bike trails in the Park were amazing as was hiking. Bar Harbor was a wonderful small town. And, of course, there was lobster.
