Melbourne Zoo

We had another full day in Melbourne. Started with some laundry and then "running the tan" again - route around the Botancial Garden. The tram driver told us the "tan" either related to the color of the pathway soil or the tan in Botanical Garden. We had some breakfast and and we were off to the Zoo to have lunch with Jenny Gray. She met us at the "golden elephant' in the center of the Zoo. After a nice pasta lunch she showed us the new Children's area and then the walk-through ring-tailed lemur exhibit. Sarah and I toured much of the rest of the Zoo, including a very active butterfly house. We got back on the tram to downtown and spent the afternoon planning our next week in and around Melbourne. Around 7:30 we started out to dinner. After passing on several options, we entered a very small restaurant that we found in one of the various alleyways with many restaurants. It turned out to be one of our best meals. Started raining and I did not want to get my clothes wet as we were packing this evening for a two-day trip to Healesville. The restaurant gave me a garbage bag which I proudly wore all the way home, even though it stopped raining.
