Critters

One of the highlights of the Great Open Road is a stop at the Kennett River to feed Crimson Rosella and Australian King Parrots (female in photo with Sarah) and see Koalas in the wild. We were informed by our guide as we were nearing the site that there are now fewer Koalas in this area as they have eaten much of their food source, the Eucalyptus trees. However, we saw five Koalas. A special experience included watching a male chasing down a female and breeding with her. The whole incident, including chasing her down to the ground, took less than two minutes!
