A Guided Tour

After a day of wandering around town aimlessly, we hired Tony Khong to show us Kuala Lumpur on February 14 (Happy Valentines to all). We now understand KL so much better. For instance, we now know that these twin towers (Petronas Twin Towers) were built by two different companies - one tower was constructed by a Korean Company and one by a Japanese Company. They only took a total of 37 months to complete, opening in 1999. The tower built by the Korean Company was finished 7 days ahead of the one built by the Japanese. They are 88 stories high. A new building has just started near Chinatown that will be 118 stories! Obviously, this is not an area of earthquakes!
