We had a very unique experience, "visiting" a troop of silver langurs, although it was not a completely natural experience. This occurred in a small forest area near Kuala Selangor, 60 km from Kuala Lumpur. A troop of about 50 silver langurs come out of the forest every afternoon to get fed by locals and tourists alike. Vendors sell fruits and vegetables to those interested. We did not feed the langurs, but certainly enjoyed watching the troop, especially the females with their young offspring (see above photo).
