Lot of Bull!

On the afternoon of Monday, March 6, in Bandhavgarh NP we came upon a herd of about a dozen Gaur, This is the largest of all the wild cattle species. When I was an animal keeper at the LA Zoo, I remember the Zoo acquiring these magnificent animals. The Park managers are interested in range of these animals and this male had a radio collar on it's neck. In addition, we did get three quick looks at an elusive leopard crossing the road. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching for a female tiger with cubs at a waterhole. They did not cooperate and we left at 6 PM so we would be out by 6:30 PM and our guides wouldn't be suspended from guiding for a month.
