Another Long Drive

Another day of driving through the every changing desert landscape of the Namib Desert. We crossed the Tropic of Capricorn while driving south. Very few animals, although in the first 1/2 hour we saw a nice herd of gemsbok. After five bumpy hours we reached Swakopmund, a coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. This is a one night stop before driving to Damaraland where we will look for desert adapted elephants and other wildlife. For the next two nights we have been informed that we will not have wifi, so don't expect another post until March 23 or 24.
